Peter Wasamba is a Professor of African Literature at the University of Nairobi. He is also a lecturer of Law. He has over 19 years university teaching experience with 11 years in management as Chairman, Department of Literature, Associate Dean and thereafter, Dean, Faculty of Arts. Wasamba has BA, MA and PhD degrees in Literature. He also has Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees, all from the University of Nairobi. Wasamba’s current research interest is in African Literature and Human Rights Law. He is working on his PhD project entitled: “An Afrocentric Gaze at Human Rights Jurisprudence in Africa through Literature.”
