From September 2014 until September 2015, Dr. Nunan is a visiting scholar at the Central Asian Seminar of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. With the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he is conducting research and pursuing advanced language training for a second book project on transnational history of the Soviet Union and its southern neighbors (Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan) during the interwar period.
