The decentralised women's representative and her deputy are both representatives of interests and advisors on questions of equal opportunities, equality and anti-discrimination at the Institute for Asian and African Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

They represent the concerns and interests of all women at the IAAW, at the same time advising and supporting the Institute's management and committees in matters of equal opportunities for women. All activities of the decentralised women's representatives are connected to the goal of achieving a change in the institute's culture in terms of equal opportunities and diversity.

The Institute's gender equality concept is currently being revised. If you need it, please contact Josephine Karge.

The next call for women's funding for female employees and students of the Institute is expected to take place in June 2022. The call will then be published on this website, in the dates of the IAAW (the links on the right of the website) and by email.

The entire site is currently under reconstruction. Soon you will find counselling services and funding opportunities here again.
