IAAW Student Council
We’re sorry that the above pages can only be offered in German.
A very warm welcome!
The Student Council (FSI) of the Institute represents the interests of us students within the university. We organize events and trips, engage in many of the institute’s committees and are here to help you with any questions or problems you might be facing. Feel free to get in touch!

FSI Newsletter
We are running a regular newsletter to distribute news, announcements and events. While the emails themselves are written in German, the information on many of the linked events and job/internship positions is provided in English. You can subscribe to our newsletter here:
Consultations
Usually, we inhabit a cozy FSI room in which all students are welcome to drop by. During the restricted university operations owing to Covid-19, we will instead be offering consultation hours via Zoom, which give you the opportunity to ask your questions from home. The exact dates and times will be disseminated via our newsletter.
Council Meetings
Throughout the ongoing semester, we as the Student Council meet up weekly. As an open assembly of students, all of you are very welcome to come around and share your ideas, problems and perspectives. The university grows through dialogue and criticism, and there are actually more ways of participation than you might expect.
Right now, our meetings take place not quite as regularly and are based in differing locations. If you’d like to join, shoot us a message to our email address.
We hope we’ll be able to welcome you to our cozy FSI space again soon and share some tea and cookies. Our room is located on the 5th floor, all the way at the end of the hallway on the right-hand side:
Telegram Update Channel
An additional (though also mostly German) way to stay up-to-date is our Telegram channel, which we use to share important announcements and information. You can join it here:
Erstibooklet
The (German) Erstibooklet is our introductory guide to the most widespread questions with regard to organizing one’s schedule, choosing courses, signing up for exams and much more – topics which might be especially challenging to grasp at the very start of one’s studies. The booklet is available as a PDF file here:
Facebook Group
On Facebook, there’s an informal IAAW group, which is regularly used to ask questions and share links with one’s peers. You can find it here:
