Dr. Annekie Joubert was language lecturer for Sotho at the Seminary until the end of WS 2021/22.

 

Scientific discipline and sub fields:
  • Discipline: African literature and linguistics, mainly oral literature and the teaching of Northern Sotho to non-mother tongue speakers.
  • Sub fields: Performance studies, visual media, folkloric filmmaking, Northern Sotho craft art, African religion and mission history, Indigenous medicine and primary health care in South Africa.

 

Language skills: 
Proficient in English, Afrikaans, Northern Sotho and conversant in Tswana, Dutch and German.
