DAAD Visiting Professorship "African Diaspora Studies"
The Seminar for African Studies has been granted a visiting professorship for "African Diaspora Studies" by the DAAD. The position will be filled over the next two years by three academics from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa respectively. Prof. Félix Ayoh'Omidire will be the first.
Dr. Félix Ayoh'Omidire is a professor at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and a visiting professor for African Diaspora Studies at the IAAW in summer semester 2023 and winter semester 2023/24.
His research and teaching focuses on African diasporas in Latin America and the Caribbean.
