My research focuses on documenting Ehueun (ISO-639-3-ehu) spoken by less than 14,000 Epinmi natives in Ondo, Nigeria (SIL, 2000). In this paper, the background to the study, which includes Epinmi anthropology, history and sociolinguistic situation, as well as the objectives of this work and research methodology, is presented. The Ehueun sound inventory, acoustics of Ehueun rhotics, as well as tonal change are discussed .
