Department for East Asian Studies

Our regional focus within East Asia lies on China and Japan. We offer extensive language courses in Chinese and Japanese as well as content courses on the languages, literatures, cultures and societies of China and Japan. We put much emphasis on the interconnections between China and Japan and other regional neighbours in Asia.

Oranienburger Tor exit: Turn left at the Friedrichstadtpalast into Johannisstraße. The Seminar for East Asian Studies is located in the second building on the left before Tucholskystraße.

If you get off at the Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station, turn toward the Spree into Tucholskystraße and take the first right into Johannisstraße. The Seminar for East Asian Studies is located in the second building on the right.
