The Global Studies Programme (GSP) is a two-year Master program. Its mission is to study social sciences in various cultures and regions. It is jpintly conducted by Humboldt-Universität zu BerlinChulalongkorn University (Bangkok), Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi), and FLACSO Argentina (Buenos Aires). Each institution is among the best in its region.

 

Students begin the program in Germany at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. They spend the following two semesters on different continents and their final semester writing a Master thesis in Berlin. Students are also encouraged to complete an internship, for example at embassies, NGOs, development agencies and prestigious organizations such as UNICEF, UNDP, and the World Bank. Upon completion of the program, a joint degree is awarded.

 

Students learn to approach the world and globalization from various regional perspectives and disciplines. The program focuses on multicentric social theory and politics. The multicultural experience  is enhanced by the multicultural composition of the group of students. Each group comprises students from all parts of the world.
