Obtaining a Ph.D.

 

If you want to go ahead with your academic career and want to write your PhD or your State doctorate at the IAAW:

 

  • Contact a professor of the institute to become your doctoral supervisor
  • As soon as you sign an agreement of supervision with one of the institute`s professors, you can apply for admission as a Ph.D candidate with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • The required documents for admission as a Ph.D. candidate have to be handed in to the doctoral degrees committee.

If all required documents are handed in completly, the comittee will decide over your application at the next meeting.

 

As soon as you get admission as a Ph.D. candidate by the doctoral degrees committee, you have to enroll within four weeks as a doctoral student at the University.
