Digital teaching and technical equipment
  • For students without sufficient technical equipment to participate in digital courses, the student initiative GnuHU offers the rental of notebooks equipped with open source software. Details about the equipment, the application procedure and contact addresses can be found here:
  • The faculty supports those students who are particularly affected by the limitations of coronavirus with laptops. The devices will be loaned at short notice and for an initial period of one semester (initially until 30.09.2020). These devices are intended to help students with their homework, MAPs and final theses. We ask students to submit short, personal and meaningful applications (especially important is the description of the emergency situation). Applications can be made immediately by e-mail to the Dean of Studies, Prof. Dr. Kai Kappel. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. If more applications are received than there are devices available, it is firmly agreed that the additional demand will be reported to the CMS.

Humboldt-Universität has acquired a campus license from Zoom as an immediate measure to support communication and cooperation between all HU members in teaching, studies, research and administration. Zoom is suitable for video and telephone conferences, online teaching, student working groups, virtual meetings and virtual collaboration.

Information on usage:

Please use only the HU access to Zoom. You can find this via the HU entry address:
