08-09.06.2024 Chinese Grammar Platform (ChinGram): 2nd translational project meeting
The second transnational project meeting of the ChinGram project was held at HU Berlin on June 8–9, 2024. In Berlin, team members from five European countries discussed the design of the exercise typology and the guidelines for the instructor. At the meeting, Prof. Yang Yuling (Beijing Language and Culture University), an expert on the instruction of Chinese grammar and exercise design, delivered an online lecture.
The objective of this Erasmus+ project is to enhance the quality of Chinese language instruction by creating a digital Chinese Grammar Platform (ChinGram). ChinGram will offer grammar descriptions, interactive exercises, and teacher support resources for approximately 100 grammar items in six EU languages: English, German, Danish, Czech, Italian, and Polish. Based on the extensive experience of Chinese language instructors and researchers of linguistically diverse learners, this multilingual learning platform will reflect both the similarities and differences between European languages vis-à-vis Mandarin Chinese.
