Abstract:

In this presentation, we’ll analyze the relationship between economic elites with the government during 2023-2025 in Argentina. Our hypothesis is that the economic elites in Argentina are fragmented and have different types of structural power and instrumental power. Even when there was an agreement among elites on the general economic direction, sectoral policies have had diverse effects, so the relationship with the government is different.

Inés Nercesian is a Sociologist, Master in Research in Social Sciences and PHD in Social Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She is a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) and works for the Latin American Institute, UBA. She is a Professor at the UBA.
