Mr. Damgale Waldja is a young scientist at the seminar with Prof. Dotsé Gilbert Yigbe. From 1 August to 31 December 2019 he will be an AvH-funded guest at the Chair of African Literatures and Cultures.
Damgale Waldja studied German language and literature at the Université de Lomé (TOGO) from 2009 to 2012 and completed his bachelor's degree. From 2013 to 2015 he studied at the Universidade do Porto (Portugal), and at the University of Bremen for a Master's degree in German Studies. Since 2015, Mr. Damgale Waldja has been a visiting lecturer and doctoral student at the Université de Lomé.
He is almost at the end of his doctorate, and is currently researching about French Studies in Togo from 1914 to 1975 at the HU.
